"Sea Food,... Eat It". A Public Service Announcement.
Every once in a while, you come across an eating establishment that specializes in a certain >type of food and that does an excellent job in the preparation of that food. A while back, my >wife & I found Crabby Maggie's in Strasburg, a small "mom & pop" shop that specializes in >seafood. Since then, we have had occasion to try just about everything on their menu and my >take on it was, "If it was any fresher, it would still be swimming". My only disappointment has >been that Maggie's is in Strasburg and we live in St. Luke so we do not get to eat there as much >as we would like to. Their menu and other information about Maggie's can be found at other >places on this website. (Go to The Loko Corner, then to Loko's Favorite Valley Businesses and >then to Crabby Maggie's.)
The latest news in St. Luke is the opening of the St. Luke Co-op. I guess you could call it a >general store that has a little bit of this and a little bit of that. You need milk? The have it. You >need bread? They have it. You need cold cuts?, hand crafted gift items?, post cards?, canning >supplies?, soda?, beer? (soon), ice cream? (soon) and they are just getting started but what >they do have is some of the best smoked meat, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, etc., etc., etc. >anywhere in this area. (Now, theirs is good but it doesn't come anywhere near mine. My >smoked brisket is dry and brittle while theirs is soft and juicy. "I just ain't used to that.") We, >(my >wife and I), have started to work our way through their menu. The beauty part of this, >unlike Crabby Maggie's, is that they are within one mile of their place.
>Below you will find a copy of their menu. Do yourself a favor, even if you have to travel several >miles, stop in and sample the food for yourself. Tell 'em you learned about it on this website. It >won't be any cheaper but it will give you that warm, fuzzy feeling.
