Some facts about us

We are a club that promotes antique tractors and gas engines/ equipment and implements preservation. We are dedicated to our community with helping to raise money for charities that help our local area and the nation.
We regularly participate in parades and attend many other antique machine events (cars, trucks, farm shows, tractor shows and fairs) we generally raise money with 50-50 ticket sales, dues, t-shirt, hat, and raffle tractor ticket sales with the tractor we sell chances on every year. We meet the last Wednesday of every month @ the Edinburg fire station meeting room, Edinburg, VA at 7:30 P.M.
Our club was started approximately 18 years ago by some local tractor enthusiasts that thought it would be great to have a local show and tractor pull, thus, Massanutten Antique tractor and gas engine club was born. The show features a different tractor/ gas engine every year and this year it is the (Case tractors, engines and implements) for 2008.
Last year was the first year we incorporated a tractor trail ride of about 9 miles through town and then out the back roads and back to the fairgrounds. Our show is held every year the second weekend in June. This year the 13th,14th and 15th. We are located at the Shenandoah county fairground right off interstate 81 at exit 283 in Woodstock, Virginia. We have indoor buildings for vendors and food available on site with a kiddie barrel train ride and many other activities and demonstrations. We are trying to improve with every year adding more things. The past several years we have had EMS and fire rescue come and display on Saturday in conjunction with our show.   We also have antique trucks and cars come to display. There is no charge to come or display at our show but to participate in anything off fairgrounds you must be a member of the club for insurance purposes.
We look to our future by remembering our proud farming heritage which is rapidly disappearing in our area, as well as many others. With the continuance of our club we hope we will never forget our farming past and it's importance to our country. Please consider joining us for many good times in the future.

As a club we are proud sponsors of the American Cancer Society, St Jude Children's research Hospital, FFA, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Blue Ridge Hospice, Ruritan's Empty Stocking Fund, Shenandoah fair class sponsorships, Academic agricultural sponsorships for local youth, the Shenandoah free clinic and local fire and rescue squad.

We are a well established club as this is going to be our 18th show we put on this year. We participate in the Apple Blossom parade and Sunday in the park in Winchester, VA end of April - early May as well as the Relay for Life at the American Legion in Edinburg sometime in April. We always have a team for Relay For Life that is held in our area on Memorial Day weekend from Friday afternoon to Saturday noon to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Last year we raised over $6000.00 from our club team.

We enjoy getting together and talking tractors and eating. There is always some sort of food that we bring to share.

Our show is rather hectic for our active club members as it requires a lot of coordination over a fairly large area with many different things going on each day. Our club central location for the show is the "brown building". This is where we sell t-shirts, hats and water. This is also where we register our participants, give out goodie bags and answer all the questions.

When our show is over we attend many other club's shows both as an invited club and as individuals to schmooze and get new ideas for the future.

We have a club picnic and a banquet dinner, (more eating! We like to eat). We do several parades for Christmas events and harvest festivals in our county. We like to give money away and we sell chances each year on our raffle tractor which is a primary source of income for the club. (We are non-profit).

Our club owns a teeter totter that one of our members built and we try to balance tractors on it, which is not easy. We put on an antique tractor pull on Saturday afternoon at our annual show and there is live bluegrass music on Saturday night. We have a kiddie pedal tractor pull and barrel train rides for children. There is a daily tractor parade in front of the grandstand and various tractor games. Of course there is church on Sunday followed by a tractor trail ride for our club members, (you have to be a club member to ride off the fairgrounds for insurance purposes). Our club has many different brand lovers and subsequent rivalries! We always have a good time and love to tease each other. Why not come and join in the fun. We look forward to meeting you.
